തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ശ്രീചിത്രയിലെ ഗവേഷകര്‍ക്ക് കോവിഡ് കിറ്റ് വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി ഫണ്ട് അനുവദിച്ചതുമായുള്ള വിഷയത്തില്‍ കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി വി മുരളീധരന് നുണ പറയുന്നുവെന്ന് ശശി തരൂര്‍. വസ്തുതകള്‍ എളുപ്പത്തില്‍ പരിശോധിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി ഇങ്ങനെ നുണ പറയുന്നത് ലജ്ജാകരമാണെന്ന് തരൂര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. വിവരങ്ങള്‍ മനസിലാക്കി തനിക്കെതിരെ ഉയര്‍ത്തിയ ആരോപണങ്ങള്‍ തിരിച്ചെടുക്കണമെന്നും തരൂര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. ഫണ്ട് അനുവദിച്ചതിന്റെ രേഖകള്‍ സഹിതം എട്ട് ട്വീറ്റിലൂടെയാണ് തരൂര്‍ മുരളീധരന് മറുപടി നല്‍കിയത്. പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദി, അഭ്യന്തമാന്ത്രി അമിത് ഷാ, വിദേശകാര്യ സഹമന്ത്രി മുരളീധരന് എന്നിവരുടെ അറിവിലേക്കായി എഴുതുന്ന കത്താണ് തരൂര്‍ ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ പങ്കുവെച്ചത്.

‘കിറ്റുകളുടെ വിതരണം നടന്നാല്‍ മാത്രമേ ശ്രീ ചിത്രയ്ക്ക് ഫണ്ട് ലഭിക്കുകയുള്ളൂ. വിതരണം ചെയ്യണമെങ്കില്‍ നിര്‍മ്മാണം നടക്കണം. ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ കുത്തിയിരിക്കാതെ വികസിപ്പിച്ച കിറ്റുകള്‍ക്ക് നിര്‍മാണ അനുമതി നല്‍കാന്‍ കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാരിനോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെടൂ’- തരൂര്‍ കുറിച്ചു.
കോവിഡ് 19 റാപ്പിഡ് ടെസ്റ്റിംഗ് ഡിവൈസുകള്‍ വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി ശ്രീചിത്ര തിരുനാള്‍ ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് സയന്‍സ് ആന്‍ഡ് ടെക്നോളജിക്ക് ഒരു കോടി അനുവദിച്ചുവെന്നായിരുന്നു മാര്‍ച്ചില്‍ ശശി തരൂര്‍ അറിയിച്ചത്. പൂനെ ആസ്ഥാനമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന ‘മൈ ലാബ് ഡിസ്‌കവറി ആന്റ് സൊല്യൂഷന്‍സില്‍ നിന്നും 3000 കോവിഡ് 19 റാപ്പിഡ് ടെസ്റ്റിംഗ് കിറ്റുകള്‍ വാങ്ങുന്നതിനായി നികുതി ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് 1900 രൂപ നിരക്കില്‍ 57 ലക്ഷം രൂപയും അനുവദിച്ചുമെന്നും തരൂര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

എന്നാല്‍ ശശി തരൂര്‍ എംപിയുടെ പ്രാദേശിക വികസന ഫണ്ടില്‍ നിന്നും ഒരു തുകയും ശ്രീചിത്ര ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിന് ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്നാണ് മുരളീധരന് പറഞ്ഞത്. പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി, ബിജെപി അധ്യക്ഷന്‍ ജെ.പി നദ്ദ എന്നിവരെ ടാഗ് ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടാണ് മുരളീധരന് ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ തരൂരിനെതിരെ തിരിഞ്ഞത്. ഇതോടെയാണ് രേഖകള്‍ സഹിതം തരൂര്‍ തിരിച്ചടിച്ചത്.

ശ്രീചിത്രയുടെ ചരിത്രവും അവിടുത്ത ഗവേഷകരുടെ കഴിവും വ്യക്തമായി അറിയുന്നതിനാലാണ് താന്‍ ഫണ്ട് അനുവദിച്ചത്. മാര്‍ച്ച് 30 നായിരുന്നു ഇത് സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഫണ്ട് അനുവദിച്ചത്. പരിശോധന കിറ്റുകള്‍ വികസിപ്പിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഫണ്ട് ലഭിക്കുമെന്നാണ് കരുതിയത്. നേര്‍വഴിക്കാണ് ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ നടത്തിയത്.
4/8: Accordingly, allotment was made by letter of 30/3 giving 1cr on the understanding that SCTIMST would get the funds once kits were developed. This is straightforward but since @vmbjp has tagged @narendramodi & @AmitShah perhaps they can provide an answer to my next question:

5/8: For over 2 months kits developed by Govt owned SCTIMST & RGCB,Kerala’s premier institutes, have been pending GOI approval. On the other hand, Pvt labs had their kits approved in a matter of days. Can any of you explain why our institutes have been kept waiting for this long?

6/8: And surely even @VMBJP can understand that for funds to be disbursed, purchase needs to be made; for purchase, production needs to start; and for production you need to convince your govt to support our institutes & approve their kits, instead of sitting on Twitter?

7/8: if GOI’s argument is that the SCTIMST kits are not yet ready for production & therefore the Collector cannot authorise the release of the 1 cr allotted by me on 30 March, then why is a GOI Minister attacking me publicly for something his Govt has been delaying?

8/8: ThisBJP Govt has a shameful pattern: it fails to perform &then it attacks theOpposition for allegedly not doing the Govt’s job. The cretinous tweet by @VMBJP is merely the latest example of this. He should apologise for accusing me of lying when I’ve been fully transparent.
