KUWAIT CITY,
MP Hamad Al-Harshani has denied the circulating rumors about his presence at Erada Square to participate in the demonstrations organized on Wednesday night, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The lawmaker called upon all citizens to prioritize the national interest under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Meanwhile, Aljarida daily reported that a number of MPs denied approving a law submitted by the National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim and others for remedying the situation of illegal residents in Kuwait. MP Khalil Al-Saleh denied the reports circulating on social media about his support of the bill on Bedoun case, stressing that his stance, which is based on humanitarian and justice values, is known to everyone.
MP Riyad Al-Adsani and MP Faisal Al-Kandari also denied reports circulating on social media that claim they approved the draft law. MP Al-Adsani said he did not even read the draft law. On the other hand, MP Al-Humaidhi Al-Sebaie said he wonders how many Bedoun residents must commit suicide in order for their cause to be taken into consideration.
MP Ali Al-Daqbasi posted on his Twitter account that the information circulating on social media concerning his stance about the draft law has no iota of truth. He asserted that he will not be a tool in the hands of those who appoint themselves to distribute certificates of patriotism to those they like.
MP Safa’a Al-Hashem revealed that she is one among the MPs who signed the draft law on Bedoun issue, insisting that the law has integrated legislative solutions for this problem that has been a matter of obstacles for many years.
